ABOUT THE FOUNDER
My name is Sean Cooper, and you might already know of my mortgage and financial journey by way of my best-selling book Burn Your Mortgage. Yup, I'm the guy who bought his first house when he was only 27 years old and paid off that mortgage in just 3 years by age 30. I've been more than fortunate to be able to share my experience and learnings by way of regular appearances on national TV and radio stations such BNN, CBC, CTV, Global and Newstalk 1010. I've had many articles that have been featured in publications such as the Toronto Star, Globe and Mail, Financial Post and MoneySense.
But now I want to do more to help Canadians. I not only want to make sure that you get the right information and coaching, I also want to ensure you get the best products that suit your personal situation. Given that, I am now licensed as a mortgage broker so I can help you at every step from that first meeting to that wonderful day when you burn those mortgage papers.

Why should I work with a mortgage broker instead of the big banks?
With a mortgage broker you get greater choice. I have relationships with 60+ lenders, including the big banks, credit unions and private lenders. I have a better chance of finding the best mortgage for you.
Through a broker, you can often get a rate lower than you would get if you went directly to a bank. Some lenders offer lower rates exclusively to brokers.
Since I only have to request your credit report once, your credit score is protected. This is different than applying directly at the banks where your credit report will be pulled each time hurting your credit score.
Is there a cost for your service?
Most of the time my services are completely free. (I'm compensated by lenders for introducing you as a client.) You'll get honest, unbiased mortgage advice at no cost. You have absolutely nothing to lose by working with me.
Do you work with clients outside the GTA?
Yes! Although I live in Toronto, I regularly work with clients all across the country. Most of my clients are from B.C., Ontario and Alberta, but I help in other provinces as well. I’m fully licensed as a mortgage broker in all provinces and territories in Canada. I've had the pleasure of helping clients coast to coast - from Yukon to Newfoundland - in this great country!
Do we have to meet in person?
Nope! I can help you with your mortgage over the phone from the comfort of home. It doesn’t get any more convenient than that!
Do you work banker's hours?
Nope! I work beyond the 9-to-5. I work flexible hours based on your availability. I can be available evenings and weekends when needed.
